Those suffering from tardive dyskinesia display repetitive and involuntary movements. Typical signs include:

  • Fine, worm-like movement of the tongue
  • Lip smacking
  • Chewing or sucking movements
  • Grimacing (making faces)
  • Puckering or pursing the lips
  • Tongue protrusion
  • Rapid eye blinking
